Most successful people understandably focus their time, energy and resources on their business affairs. However this can often result in personal finance decisions being postponed to detrimental effect.
To help executives like you to achieve a balance of success in business and with personal wealth, I established Claremont Financial Planning.
I have developed a range of strategies to help you mitigate your exposure to the increased rate of income tax while developing your personal wealth throughout your working life to help you achieve the lifestyle that you desire. By calculating your lifelong cash flow requirements I can also help you to maintain this lifestyle and sustain your wealth during retirement. And as I understand that your time is a precious commodity, all of this can be achieved while you concentrate on the things that are important to you.
The tax liability for high earners
From April 2010, those with income exceeding £150,000 are subject to an increase in the prevailing rate of income tax. This will see these higher earners paying half of their salaries to Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs. There is, however, a sting in the tail for people with “adjusted net” income of more than £100,000 – broadly income less certain allowable deductions – who will suffer an effective rate of 60% on income between £100,000 and £112,950 because of the erosion of their personal allowance.
With this in mind it is easy to identify why high earners are seeking strategies to mitigate their tax liability. I can provide access to the full range of tax-privileged investments to mitigate any increased liability imposed on higher earners. As a higher income earner, how will the new changes in pension tax relief affect you and your plans for retirement?
