Before starting my career in financial services, I held a number of senior management positions at blue-chip companies. I’ve since completed a professional diploma in management at the Open University, and have passed the strategy exam of my ongoing study for a Masters in Business Administration. This helps me understand business strategy and plan effective exit strategies for my clients.

Previously, I held the position of national sales manager of a large British life assurance company for 15 years, having UK wide responsibility for recruitment and monitoring of the company’s advisors and back-office staff. As such, I was involved in strategy, implementation and marketing of this major business.

In January 2004 I joined the St. James's Place Partnership as an Associate Partner, and operate from offices in Mayfair and St. Albans.

My wife Nicki, is my business partner, and provides back-office support.

In my spare time, when not working out at the gym, I’ve worked voluntarily with the Probation Service and have also been involved in rugby coaching with teenagers.
