The triathlon took place in the ground of Hurstpierpoint College on Sunday 20 March and was won by local man Andrew Pinker, who completed the course in 33 minutes and 54 seconds.

Michele Pearson said:

“It was very emotional for all of us who took part in the triathlon...We all ran over the finishing line in pain and exhausted, into the arms of Charlie – who rewarded us with a medal. It made us all realise that Charlie’s whole life is like a triathlon but, unlike us, he can’t stop for a rest.”
