The Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund

The Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund is a small non-governmental UK registered charity, which aims to lift Ugandan children out of poverty through education.

The Fund was established by his family as a result of Henry’s death in a car accident in December 2002, a few weeks before he was due to travel to Uganda to teach in a primary school. What started out as a one off donation to the school, where Henry was to have taught, has blossomed into a registered charity. The Fund is now actively involved with 25 nursery, primary and secondary schools, providing the construction of classrooms, dormitories, latrines, teachers’ accommodation and water tanks.

The charity are currently helping over 18,000 children across the 25 plus schools to be happier, healthier, and to receive a good education.

"I am delighted that since 2013 and every year since, fundraising efforts and support will be provided to the Henry van Staubenzee Memorial Fund. Together and with your support, we can help make a real difference to the lives of the children in Uganda." Jeremy Allen
