Roy is a qualified chartered accountant and during his time in the profession worked for two of the major international accountancy firms. Subsequently he worked as a finance director and operations director for two private companies in Newcastle over a period of 13 years.

Seeking a change in direction, Roy joined St. James's Place Wealth Management in 1992 and was invited to become a partner in 1993.

Since then, Roy has concentrated on meeting the needs of his clients by offering a high degree of personal service. He recognises that while many clients will have similar concerns they all require bespoke solutions, which have to be flexible enough to meet a clients ever changing needs.
