Jonathan initially founded Grosvenor Pitt in 2002, which later became Grosvenor Partners Financial Services in 2005. Jonathan has previously held senior roles with the RBS and Bradford & Bingley. He commenced advising clients on their financial needs in 1990.
Jonathan has held the Diploma in Financial Planning of the Chartered Institute of Insurance for many years. Whilst being able to advise in all areas of Financial Planning, Jonathan has also been awarded the Advanced Pension Transfer Qualification (AF7) by the CII.
Jonathan’s responsibilities within the Grosvenor Partners Financial Services include that of Finance Director and Technical Director. In 2017 Jonathan and Co-Director Darren, were presented with the St. James’s Place Foundation Award which recognises monies raised, and support given to the St. James’s Place Charitable Foundation.
When not in the office, Jonathan is a keen golfer and enjoys being with his family - his wife Rachel and daughters Jess and Danielle.
Darren became a co-director of Grosvenor Partners Financial Services in 2005. Darren has worked in Financial Services since 1994, previously enjoying a successful career with Lloyds and Bradford & Bingley Building Society. Darren holds the Diploma in Financial Planning awarded by the Chartered Institute of Insurance and is highly experienced in providing advice across a broad range of areas. Recognising an increase in need of clients in general brought about by demographic changes, through the achievement of appropriate qualifications Darren also provides specific advice to clients of Grosvenor Partners Financial Services in the area of Later Life Planning, which includes satisfying clients Long Term Care needs.
In addition to this, Darren is Grosvenor’s Director of IT and Operations. Darren’s style with clients is relaxed and focuses heavily on understanding each client’s personal objectives which enables him to construct the appropriate investment portfolio to underpin his advice. In 2017 Darren and his Co-Director Jonathan, were presented with the St. James’s Place Foundation Award which recognises monies raised, and support given to the St. St. James's Place Charitable Foundation.
Darren is married to Anne and has two children, Hannah & Nathan and enjoys a busy life away from work, spending time with his family and, when time permits, he also enjoys playing golf.
Simon joined Grosvenor Partners Financial Services as a co-director and possesses 24 years of experience in the financial services sector, both advising the clients of NatWest Bank and as a Senior Manager within St. James’s Place. Simon holds a master’s degree in Wealth Management, is a Bachelor of Laws and was awarded the Diploma in Financial Planning by the Chartered Institute of Insurance in 2012. Whilst being able to advise in all areas, Simon has focused recently on Income in Retirement Advice, Strategic Financial Planning for Business Owners and Value-Added Investment Portfolios.
Simon’s other responsibilities within Grosvenor Partners Financial Services include all matters People Development and Long-Term Strategic Planning. Simon shares the views of fellow co-directors, Jonathan and Darren, which are “As the change of pace only seems to increase, we firmly believe that our clients need for advice and guidance has never been greater. Couple this with the overall reduction in the provision of financial advice in the UK, we find our clients frequently ask them to help family members and friends, which we are delighted to be able to do. Our advice is underpinned by a bespoke service agreement with each client.”
Away from work, Simon loves to travel with his partner Justyna, and children Olivia and Melissa. Like his co-directors, when time permits, Simon also enjoys playing golf.
Julie was selected and invited to join Grosvenor Partners Financial Services in May 2004 out of a large pool of talent. Over the last 15 years Julie has built the Grosvenor Client Support team to the numbers it is at today. Having left school to go straight into Financial Services, Julie’s wealth of experience and knowledge within the industry is excellent. As Practice Manager and working closely with the Directors, Julie leads the Administration, Client Relationship and Paraplanning functions of Grosvenor Partners Financial Services. This includes the recruiting and development of talented individuals, having oversight of complex technical advice issues and daily management of the business.
Julie has a passion for personal development and fulfilment. She has personally completed the relevant parts of the Financial Planning Certificate and all appropriate internal accreditations. Julie proactively encourages and facilitates her team’s personal development which directly supports the long-term vision and objectives of our clients and our practice.
In her spare time, you’ll find her with her favourite souls – her husband Chris and their dog Mr Bash. She also has a passion for empowering other women, playing with makeup and socialising with friends and family.
Andy joined Grosvenor Partners Financial Services having previously run his own successful Practice as a Senior Partner of St. James’s Place for over 20 years. To ensure his clients financial planning needs can be met for many years to come, Andy was delighted to align his clients and business with Grosvenor Partners Financial Services. Andy has been awarded the Diploma in Financial Planning by the Chartered Institute of Insurance, which he has held for many years. Andy is authorised to advise across all areas of financial planning. More latterly, succession planning and income at retirement has been a focus for Andy with a large number of his clients and their friends and family.
Away from the office, Andy enjoys spending quality time with his wife Carol, children and grand-children as well avidly following Manfred Mann and also being an aficionado on Dr Who and Steam Railways.
As a Financial Consultant, Lydia takes great pride in providing a balanced combination of professional investment management and personalised financial planning. She is committed to helping secure every individual's immediate and long-term financial goals & objectives, whatever they may be. It is essential to Lydia to consistently work with her clients to regularly review their current arrangements in order to check they are on track to meet their longer-term goals. This often leads to working with the extended family member of my clients too.
Lydia was delighted to join Grosvenor Partners Financial Services in September 2017 as they share her commitment to understand, care for, and guide individuals. Previously, Lydia spent 3 years working in NatWest commercial & personal Banking helping business’ & individuals meet their immediate and longer-term goals.
When Lydia is not helping her clients, she enjoys socialising and spending quality time with my friends, family and Beagle – beautiful Bella.
As a Financial Consultant, Sarah combines professional investment management and personalised financial planning. Her stance is that every client is unique, and she is committed to helping clients protect what's important, growth their wealth and plan for the future. Everyone's goals are different, big and small and whatever they may be.
Both Sarah and Grosvenor were delighted when she decided to join Grosvenor Partners Financial Services in September 2019 as we share the same vision and values. Sarah arrived at Grosvenor Partners Financial Services with an outstanding reputation for client service delivered over many years with Nationwide Building Society.
When Sarah is not working, she enjoys yoga and socialising with friends and family over good food and great wine.
Sharon has enjoyed a successful career in the Financial Services Industry since 1998. Due to her technical expertise and previous management experience, gained whilst in the employ of Capita, she was invited and to join Grosvenor Partners Financial Services in May 2018. Both Sharon and Grosvenor were extremely pleased with this outcome.
In Sharon’s role as a Paraplanner she spends considerable time researching and analysing information, writing Suitability Reports and dealing with technical queries. She is also involved in process review and design and supporting the development of other members of staff.
Sharon holds the Certificate in Financial Planning and is only one exam away from the complete Diploma in Financial Planning. She is also engaged in the St. James’s Place Paraplanner Accreditation scheme.
In her spare time Sharon enjoys spending time with her young family and holidaying in their caravan in North Wales.
Sue has worked in Financial Services since 1989 working previously for The Co-operative Bank in a number of roles before joining Grosvenor Partners Financial Services in June 2019. Her high level of expertise in Financial Services has led to some important process developments within the Practice. Sue is a paraplanner within the Practice and enjoys undertaking complex technical research when advice is being formulated. She particularly enjoys liaising with clients. Sue has attained the Chartered Institute of Insurance’s CeMap qualification.
In her spare time Sue enjoys spending time with her family, travelling abroad and going away in her caravan and doing outdoor activities.
Aimee Banks is the Client Relationship Manager at Grosvenor Partners Financial Services. She joined the Practice in April 2019 and was specifically recruited having spent several years in banking where she delivered a demanding client facing role.
Aimee is a great asset for Grosvenor Partners Financial Services and is already building strong relationships with the Practice’s clients which compliments their overall experience.
Aimee enjoys spending quality time with her partner, planning their next holiday and catching up with family and friends over a drink. And she also has a love of shoes!
