Stuart Nelson, Founder and Managing Director

Stuart has over 36 years of experience in financial services and has worked in Kendal for 19 of those years. During this time he has recruited and developed the experienced team of advice professionals who make up Veritas. Qualified to Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma level, Stuart has achieved Chartered Financial Planner status and specialises in wealth management and estate planning. Stuart’s hobbies include cycling, photography and fell walking.



Jacqui Shaw, Client Service Consultant

Jacqui has been with Veritas for over 14 years and is now our Client Service Consultant. This means that her time is devoted to dealing with customer enquiries, promoting excellent service standards and supporting the advice and review process. Jacqui has vast experience in financial services where she has worked since completing her A’ Levels in 1999. Now qualified to Institute of Financial Services Diploma level, Jacqui also holds qualifications in Client Care and is currently studying towards Chartered Financial Planning status, having completed her first advanced qualification, AF3, the Advanced Diploma in Pension Planning in April 2016.

When not at work, she enjoys baking, playing guitar and fell walking.



Emma Fraser-Curtis, Practice Manager

Emma has been with Veritas for over 6 years and is very much the linchpin of the day to day running of the Practice and client communication. Emma holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Certificate in Financial Services in keeping with our demands for high standards from our staff. She is currently studying towards further Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications.



Amanda Hall, Client Services Administrator

Amanda is a valued member of the administration team, spending most of her time dealing with life offices and other providers, as well as providing excellent service to clients. She plays a vital role in obtaining accurate information which is key to our client review process. Amanda is working towards the St James’s Place Accreditation for Support Staff Administrators. In her spare time, Amanda is an artist and enjoys doing pet portraits.



Rachel Holliday, Client Services Administrator

Rachel supports the administration team dealing with the finances and accounts as well as pension and investment processing. In her spare time, she likes to go walking in the Lake District and keeps fit by doing pilates.
