After working at the Bank of England for four years, I entered the financial services industry in 1981, where I have remained ever since. I was a founder of the national advisory firm, Chase De Vere, and worked for accountants Pannell Kerr Forster.
I went on to work for three insurance companies, promoting their products and services to independent advisers. Having ‘walked both sides of the street’ in this way, I am uniquely qualified and experienced when it comes to selecting and recommending suitable financial solutions for my own clients.
In 1994, I became a financial adviser within Quay Associates, and then set up my own business – Independent Money Matters Ltd – which was integrated into the Millfield Partnership in 2003. In 2004, I was a finalist in the Financial Services Sales Professional of the Year, in association with The Chartered Institute of Marketing. I launched Wealth Strategies in 2007, and in 2010, I accepted an invitation to join St. James’s Place Wealth Management.
Since 2001, I have qualified as a Top of the table member of MDRT, which is the world’s Premier Association of Financial Advisers. This is recognition of productivity and ethics open to the top 0.5% of the world’s best 5% advisers. I have served on various committees and am a Platinum donor to their Charitable Foundation.
Wealth Strategies account manager, Yasmin Hynes, works alongside me. With offices in Lingfield, Surrey, most of our clients come from the local area and London. I live with my wife and two daughters in Godstone, and enjoy golf, cycling, skiing and Burgundy wines.
